Welcome to Belmont
It was an average day at Belmont University and Cole was sitting in the news office when he saw a family pass by several times. Avoiding work as usual, he invited them in and gave Abigail his business card. That’s where this story begins.

First Date
Abigail joined the Vision and they quickly began working very closely together. The chemistry grew and by spring break Abigail and Cole were talking every day. Cole picked Abigail up from the airport and they spent the day together. Their first official date was at McDougals.

It’s Official
They knew something was happening, but hadn’t admitted it yet. After many dinner dates and late nights of editing in March, Cole asked Abigail to be his girlfriend in the backyard of Cole’s college house.

Abigail came to Nashville and they went to the Frist Art Museum followed by star-gazing at the Parthenon where they first said, “I love you.”

Cole’s Graduation
Cole graduated early and started working full time while Abigail took on many of the same roles he had at Belmont.

Homeowners!
At 22 and 20, they bought their first house in the midst of the pandemic. They put countless hours and Home Depot runs into finding the right house and making it their own.

Harrison moved into the second bedroom at the house. Many friends came and went, but Harry was their preferred third wheel.

Excelsior
Abigail said bye to Cole before packing up and spending the first semester of her senior year in New York City. She left for New York without a plan and landed her dream job at ABC where her real career began!

Cole’s first Nyc trip
The first of many trips Cole made to New York. Abigail always had a jam-packed itinerary. This was when her dream of living in New York started to become a reality and Cole could see the vision.

Gotcha Day
Like everyone else during COVID, they got a doodle. After many months of anticipation, they brought McDougal home from Kentucky.

First Christmas
We spent our first Christmas in Atlanta together as a family and a delayed Christmas in Orlando.

Abigail’s Graduation
Abigail graduated, and they waited in anticipation for a full time offer from ABC in the city. Cole began a new job that would allow him to work from New York.

Goodbye is never easy
They made the decision for Abigail to get started in the city while Cole tied up the Nashville chapter of their lives and got the house ready to rent.

Engaged!
Five years to the day they met, Cole proposed in Central Park on the Bow Bridge and surprised Abigail with their parents in town at the Bethesda Terrace to celebrate.

Farewell, Nashville
They down-sized, got the house ready, packed their lives into a single pod, and drove with McDougal from Nashville to New York to begin their next chapter together.
Abigail, Cole and McDougal have been settling into New York and loving this new adventure.
